Nepal beat Kenya by 7 wickets in ICC WCL

Kathmandu—Nepal defeated Kenya by seven wickets in the ICC World Cricket League that was played in TU Cricket Ground today.

Batting first, Kenya set the target of 156 runs to Nepal. Nepal met the target in 30.2 overs. Captain Gyanendar Malla collected 64 runs including 8 fours and 1 six in 93 balls. Likewise, Dipendra Airee contributed 62 runs in 66 balls. He hit 8 fours and 1 six. Sarad Vesawkar’s contribution remained 24 runs.

Kenya’s E Otieno took two wickets giving 21 runs. CO Obuya sent 1 wicket to pavilion conceding 22 runs. Kenya played 46.1 overs and remained all out to collect 155 runs. Mehboob Alam bowled five maiden overs and gave 11 runs but claimed two wickets. Bowling 7.1 overs, Sharad Vesawkar took four wickets in the battle.

Basant Regmi took two wickets and Sandeep Lamichhane and Sagar Pun took one wicket each. The match played today was the second match between Nepal and Kenya. Nepal will take on Hong Kong and UAE between July to December.
