Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: United Reference Laboratory (URL) Pvt. Ltd. and AB Care and Rehabilitation Hospital Pvt. Ltd. jointly launched a free health check up camp to the kidney and diabetes patients, in Pokhara on Saturday.
All total 502 patients got blood and urine checked up during the camp, informed URL Managing Director Thakur Prasad Panta. Talking in an awareness program organized during the free camp, nephrologists Dr. Abhishek Maskey elaborated the cause and care of diabetes and kidney disease.
He also asked to the patients not to have medicine randomly without diagnosis the proper problem and disease.
URL MD Panta informed that his lab would launch free blood check up camps to kidney patients throughout the year. He also said that the main motto of URL was to assist the curing of particular diseases and the social responsibility.
The camp that came up with 50 percent discount in other diseases’ blood check up too, organized targeting the people of ward number 1, 2 and 26 of Pokhara Sub metropolitan City.
The co-organizers of camp- Ananta Samudaik Sewa Samiti’s Sushila Regmi, Archal Bot Mothers’ Group president Somkala Parajuli, Mahila Upakar Samuha president Kalpana Rana, Mahila Maitri Mothers’ Group’s Shova Raut and Kamana Jagaran Mahila Group representative Sabitri Paudel expressed their remarks during the camp’s formal program.
The program was chaired by AB Care and Rehabilitation Hospital chairman Anil Babu Parajuli. Media Man Rishi Khatiwoda was master of ceremony.
